New for 2018, Inspire Education is taking you on a day trip to Cambridge! Whether you are attending one of our Bradfield College Global Citizenship Courses, or our St Anne’s University Preparation Course, you will have the opportunity to visit one of the most beautiful cities in England. So let’s find out what makes Cambridge a ‘must-see’ city…
Cambridge, situated in the heart of East Anglia, is only a short journey from both Bradfield College and St Anne’s College in Oxford. Cambridge is a university city, home to one of the top universities in the world. The city is dotted with ancient university colleges that will leave you awe-struck and desperate to apply to study here. Walking through the cobbled streets of Cambridge or along the River Cam on a summer’s day is a romantic way to soak up the beauty and history of this city.
There is so much to see and do in Cambridge. A few of our highlights have to be The Fitzwilliam Museum (a free museum home to more than 500,000 artworks), Cambridge University Botanic Gardens (a perfect spot for a picnic amid the blooming flowers), and of course, King’s College Chapel (with its English Gothic architecture, this is one of the university’s most recognisable buildings).
Fancy a break? Well, why not pop into Fitzbillies for a traditional Chelsea Bun. Or, head to Cambridge’s Streetfood Market for everything from veggie food to schnitzels to ice cream.
If you have any time left, don’t forget to pick up some souvenirs, either at the local arts and crafts market in All Saint’s Gardens, or at the stylish Grand Arcade.
You’ll leave Cambridge wanting to come back and bring you friends and family too! Enjoy!
